Continuing in 2013: The “Multiple Entries” Discount |
|
Your team can earn a $30 discount off the regular entry fee of any baseball tournament at the Sportsplex (with the exception of the USSSA West Tennessee State Tournament) by being one of the first 4 teams in any age group to sign up for that specific event, either by e-mail at rbarry@cityofjackson.net or by phone at 731-425-8640 or 731-425-8237.
Here are the specifics of the deal:
1.The discount does not apply to teams who sign up online through the Sportsplex Web site. However, if any particular age group has had online registrations among its first 4 registrants, those teams reduce the number of discounts available for that age group. Example: For a tournament listed for the first weekend in June, three teams have entered – one entered online, and two entered by e-mail or phone. There is only one spot remaining that is eligible for the discount, but only if that fourth team enters by e-mail or phone. Of the first three entries, the team that entered online would not receive the discount, but the other two would.
2.Teams do not have to pay in advance to receive the discount, but each team must follow through on its commitment to play in the event in order to receive the discount. If a team qualifies for the discount but then wants to change to another event, the discount does not automatically move to the new event unless it is still one of the first 4 entries.
3.Teams that enter online do not qualify for the discount because it would trigger a refund situation and a revision of online convenience fees that are not controlled by the Sportsplex.
4.There is a limit of 5 “Quick Entry” discounts that a team can receive, because after it has played in 5 Sportsplex events in a season, it qualifies for an even larger discount ($50 per tournament) for all future events that season.
5.Teams that receive either of the available discounts are encouraged to pay their tournament entry fee at check-in time for each event, so that any kind of refund situation is avoided.
