Fall Schedule Kicks Off 2019 USSSA Season

Five fall tournaments, one scheduled every other weekend and featuring ages 7-to-15-year-olds, will provide more of a regular flow and highlight the opening of the West Tennessee Healthcare Sportsplex’s 13th season of hosting USSSA baseball events.
The Launch to 2019 will open the fall slate August 25 & 26 and is the first of the Saturday-Sunday tournaments to feature a new AA/Open format, in which the AA-level teams will be kept separated from AAA and Majors teams as long as there are enough entries to avoid combining classifications. In past years, all fall tournaments have been Open events, which may have discouraged AA teams from entering. All five events will also have a 15-year-old division, the first time the Sportsplex has offered that age group in a series.
The schedule is as follows:
Aug 25-26: The Launch to 2019
Sept 8-9: The September Shoot-Out
Sept 22-23: The Sportsplex Fall Championships (Ring Tournament: Champions in each age group will receive rings)
Oct 6-7: The Autumn Ambush
Oct 20-21: The Big Fall Finish
Registration for any or all of these events will begins as soon as the tournaments have been listed on the usssa.com website and have been officially approved by USSSA West Tennessee State Director Scotty Baker. The 2019 USSSA season does not officially begin until August 1.
Also returning to the Sportsplex’s fall lineup is the annually sold-out Middle School Softball Tournament, set for Saturday, September 15. Teams interested in that event should contact Sportsplex Office Manager Ryan Blake at 731-425-8640 anytime after July 16th.
